Systemic redesign of the digital ecosystem for a coherent and scalable experience
BCR Financial Group faced a fragmented digital ecosystem, consisting of dozens of microsites, portals, and internal applications, each with a different content structure, navigation, and branding. This fragmentation created confusion for customers, maintenance difficulties for internal teams, and an inability to provide personalized recommendations and narrative consistency.
We adopted a systemic design approach, focusing on macro-level information architecture. We mapped the entire content flow, from creation and management (CMS) to distribution and presentation on final channels. We defined a unified content typology system, common taxonomies, and a data model to serve both the corporate portal and the sites for products, news, and educational resources.
The project involved close collaboration with software architects and product owners to design APIs that expose content modularly, allowing for the dynamic assembly of pages and experiences based on user profile and context.
Implementing the new digital architecture led to a 65% reduction in the time required to launch a new microsite or content campaign. Visual and structural consistency increased the user trust score measured through surveys.
The content recommendation system, powered by the unified taxonomy, increased engagement on product pages by over 40%. Internal marketing and communication teams now benefit from a single content administration point, eliminating effort duplication and inconsistencies.
βThe systemic approach proposed by Sinem transformed the way we conceptualize digital content. We moved from a chaotic model to a predictable and scalable one, allowing us to focus on customer value, not technological problems.β β Horia Georgescu, Product Lead
The project established a blueprint for enterprise content management, which is now being replicated in other divisions of the group.
